SRS Standard
The standard distribution of SRS contains all the components required to integrate the wealth of publicly available bioinformatics and genomic data stored in flat-files, XML files or relational databases. Out-of-the box SRS comes with parsers and support for over 80 public domain databases and hundreds of analysis tools, including sequence similarity, alignment analysis, as well as support for the full EMBOSS suite. SRS is fully customizable and site-specific databanks or tools can be easily integrated.
The standard SRS distribution now also includes the SRS Relational module, enabling customers to combine and analyse internally generated data stored in relational databases with the third party information supplied via SRS. SRS Relational integrates complex relational databases into an SRS installation in a flexible manner, maintaining the integrity and value of the data whilst providing a unified user interface to all data. With SRS Relational, schemas can be easily mapped into SRS and can be queried through the standard SRS interface alongside flat file and XML data.
SRS Standard includes:
- The SRS Web Services Server
- The SRS Web Interface
- Command-line tools
- All supported databank parsers
- EMBOSS support
- Relational module
- Alerting module
- Annotations module
