SRS for Academics
BioWisdom actively encourages the use of SRS in the academic community. The full suite of SRS products are available to non-profit making organizations at a greatly discounted price.
We recognize that user feedback from this community is essential in maintaining SRS as the leading solution for biological data integration. This information benefits not only the academic community but also our industrial partners. The academic community provides data integration layers for hundreds of databases which enables this data to be accessed by the whole SRS community globally.
SRS has been licensed by over 250 academic organizations and over 50 of these make SRS generally available to the research community as a public server.
With the launch of SRS 8.2, BioWisdom decided to create a special package for academic and not-for-profit institutes that includes a site license for SRS 8.2, SRS Prisma and SRS WSObjects modules, plus support and maintenance. The package is available for the special price of €3,600 per site per annum; this is a fraction of the price for commercial users and is a reflection of our continued commitment to support the work of the academic community with SRS.
To licence SRS 8.2 please follow these steps:
- Download the Academic Licence click here
- Complete your details on the cover sheet and sign the licence agreement.
- Return the completed agreement, together with a Purchase Order or a letter (on letter headed paper) requesting the purchase of an SRS Academic Licence to: SRS Sales Administration, BioWisdom SRS Ltd, Harston Mill, Harston, Cambridgeshire, CB22 7GG
- BioWisdom SRS Ltd will invoice you for €3,600 (plus sales tax where applicable). Note: SRS 8.2 is provided on an annual licence. Orders will also be accepted for two or three years duration at €3,600 per year.
- Once payment has been received you will be contacted by the SRS Support Team who will provide details of the process for downloading SRS 8.2 and/or its components and how to obtain on-going support.
- For customers not currently able to benefit from this package, SRS version 8.1 will continue to be available free of charge. However, please note that this version does not include the additional modules or maintenance and support.
- To licence SRS 8.1, please email us to request a copy of the SRS 8.1 licence agreement. Then return the completed agreement to SRS Sales Administration. Once the agreement is received you will be contacted by the SRS Support Team in order to grant access.
